How StepSense Gold uses data

StepSense Gold uses and why those categories matter to the app
experience.

with the full Privacy Policy, Data Safety declarations, and App

Connected platform summary
- Supported platforms: Fitbit, Garmin Connect, Apple Health, Health Connect, and Huawei Health where available.
- Current collection from those platforms: step data only.
- Commercial use: step data is not sold.
- Sharing: step data is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
- Control: users can revoke access by disconnecting the provider or removing permissions in the linked platform or device settings.
Profile and organization data
Used to sign users in, place them in the correct company or team,
personalize profile views, and power filtered leaderboards or
group-based challenge views.
Step data
Used for daily targets, progress charts, challenge totals,
milestones, challenge maps, and company leaderboards.
Health Assessment data
Used to score assessments, show section completion, render
biometric highlights, and support organization wellness programs.
Learning series and task progress
Used to unlock pathways, show what is available today, track
campaign completion, and route users to the next action.
Feed, media, and chat
Used to let authorized participants post updates, share media,
message teammates, and keep workplace wellness social.
Device and service diagnostics
Used to keep the app secure, confirm provider links, troubleshoot
sync issues, support notifications, and improve reliability.
What StepSense Gold does not use data for
- Step data is not sold to third parties.
- Step data is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
- Health permissions should not be used for unrelated advertising purposes.
- Only the minimum data needed for the stated feature should be accessed and retained.
User controls
- Disconnect linked providers and revoke device permissions through app or device settings.
- Manage whether to participate in optional community features where controls are available.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy support at contact@stepsensegold.com or through the deletion page.
